1. Getting to the Conference location:

The Building for Humanities and Social Sciences in Academia Sinica
Address: No. 128, Sec,2, Academia Rd., Nankang, Taipei 115.

We recommend to the use of public transportation even through Academia Sinica offers some parking facilities. The metro station close to the venue is the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center (NEC) station.

By bus through Kuo-Kuang Motor Transport:

- 90 minute route: Kuokuang Line 1843 to Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center (NEC/80 minute) then take the taxi or bus 212、205、645、620、306 to Academia Sinica.

- Fare for Kuokuang Line 1843: Adult NT$115/Round-Trip NT$200; bus interval around 20-30 minutes. Learn more.

- Fare for taxi from TNEC to venue: NT$75-85; for bus: NT$15.

By taxi, it will take around 60-80 minutes to the venue. The taxis queues are outside the arrival halls of both terminals, T1 and T2. The fare to the venue is approximately NT$1200-1700, which is based on the meter plus a 15% surcharge, applicable highway tolls or midnight extra charge. Learn more.


By metro:

- 35-50 minute route: take the brown line (Wenshan-Neihu Line) to the Nangang Exhibition Center station, then take the taxi or bus 212、205、645、620、306 to Academia Sinica.

- Fare for the metro: NT$25, Learn more.

- Fare for taxi from NEC to the venue: NT$75-85; for bus: NT$15.

By taxi from Songshan airport will take around 30-50 minutes to the venue and the taxi fare is approximately NT$300.

2. To the hotels:

For guests who will stay at the Center of Academic Activities, the transport information is provided as suggestions above. For those who will stay at Howard Plaza Hotel, please refer to the following.

  • 1. From Taoyuan International Airport:
    • By bus through Air Bus 2060/2061 are direct to Howard Plaza Hotel, and it takes about 50 minutes with the ticket fare NT$145. Learn more.
    • By taxi, it will also take around 50 minutes to the Howard Plaza Hotel, and the fare is approximately NT$1,500 ~ 1,800.
    • Hotel limousine transfer service: NT$ 1890 one-way.

  • 2. From Taipei Songshan Airport:
    • By metro, take the brown line (Wenshan-Neihu Line) to Zhongxiao-Fuxing Station (7 minutes) or Daan Station(8 minutes), the hotel is located in-between theses two stations, with a 5 minute walk.

  • 1. From Taoyuan International Airport:
      - By bus through Kuokuang Line 1843 to Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center (NEC/80 minute , NT$115, interval around 45-65 minutes) then take the metro (brown line: Wenshan-Neihu Line) to Huzhou station (2 minutes, NT$ 20).

    - By bus through Kuokuang Line 1819 to Taipei Songshan Airport (50 minute , NT$125, interval around 20-25 minutes ) then take the metro (brown line: Wenshan-Neihu Line) to Huzhou station (21 minutes, NT$ 35).

    - By taxi, it will also take around 50 minutes to the City Lake Hotel, and the fare is approximately NT$1,500 ~ 1,800.
